**Links to**: [[02 Introduction to the Poltergeist]], [[Question]]. Many concepts and entries in this work are presented as _postulates_. It is preferred to use _postulate_ rather than _thesis_ (‘upon’ which something is _set_, erected), given that to postulate is not only to ask for something to be taken as a “brute fact” so that something else may be said (see also: [[Brutality]]), but also to simply to _ask_, to ask for someone’s _life-time_.^[Stemming from PIE, _prek_- meaning: “to ask, to entreat”, from which _prayer_ also stems. It is thus, additionally: a kind of desire I cannot avoid). In Lithuanian, part of the echo in my background (Dambrauskas): _prašyti_ (to ask, beg).] I kindly ask you to consider these things as necessary--but questionable--fundaments that support the perspective provided by this work. I also apologize in advance for the time they will ask of you (give it however much you think _works_ for the moment). As I have repeatedly stated in various outlets: the last thing I want is to tell others how to live. Unfortunately, philosophy and much of everything else often results in top-down management, disguised as something else. It is sometimes a necessary evil but one that we can perhaps modulate towards less oppressive landscapes of sociality. **See also**: [[Question]] and [[Problem]]. <div class="page-break" style="page-break-before: always;"></div> ### Footnotes
